Congratulations on the choice you made!
For as long a use as possible, please read these instructions carefully.
STEEL CHARACTERISTICS
TASK instruments are made from martensitic steel, the most suitable material currently known for manufacturing medical instruments. With this type of steel, the necessary hardness and resistance can be achieved through heat treatment.
Steel is a type of alloy that forms a stable corrosion-resistant film on its surface. Once this surface is damaged, rust can spread rapidly.
Please clean and sterilize the instruments according to these instructions for long-term use.
The instruments come with a 1-year warranty, as well as post-warranty service. We can later send pliers to our partners in Japan for sharpening or tip replacement, if necessary.
CARE AFTER USE
Washing: Removing visible stains and tissue residue
Quick wash – hand wash / ultrasonic bath
Chemical wash – cleaning agent / ultrasonic bath with cleaning agent
-
Check if the instrument is in good condition and can be used again
-
Clean blood, fat, or proteins off the surfaces before they dry. Dishwashers with disinfection are not recommended.
-
A cleaning agent with rust protection is recommended. Use it according to the manufacturer's instructions.
-
In the ultrasonic bath, water at a temperature of 40 °C - 60°C is most effective. Place the instruments in an open position so they do not touch each other on a tray, to avoid insufficient cleaning.
-
Rinse the instruments with plenty of water.
-
Check that the instruments have been cleaned properly.
Disinfection: Reducing the density of harmful microorganisms
Glutaraldehydes are recommended (solutions such as Orolin).
Do not use the following solutions: sodium hypochlorite, benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, povidone-iodine, phenol, formaldehyde, chlorhexidine gluconate, hydrogen peroxide, household detergent.
Sterilization: Asepsis
Quick sterilization – autoclaving
Chemical sterilization – EOG (ethylene oxide)
-
We recommend sterilization in an autoclave or with ethylene oxide. Dry heat sterilizer, Chemiclav, or cold sterilization are not recommended.
-
Use an autoclave cycle with temperature below 132°C
-
Dry the instruments very well to eliminate the risk of rust appearing. The internal parts of the joints need more time to dry.
-
Store the instruments in dry areas, away from chemicals.
