1. Brush the appliance with a toothbrush and toothpaste every day.
2. Before and after each use, it is advisable to rinse both the mouth and the device.
3. You can also immerse the device in a mouthwash. However, it is necessary to choose a clear mouthwash.
If the mouthwash is colored, the color will be absorbed by the device.
4. When the device is stored in the box, if it is wet, the box should be left open.
5. If necessary, you can sterilize the device by following the instructions below.
Sterilization options:
1. Boil the device for 10-20 minutes.
2. Alternatively: sterilize for 10 minutes in the cold with instrument sterilization solutions containing dimethylbenzylammonium chloride and isopropanol.
3. Alternatively: put it in an ultrasonic machine using the product indicated in point 2, diluted (30 ml for every liter of water).
Note - Using the above procedures, the device will become slightly opaque. This does not affect its effectiveness. The procedures indicated are adequate for removing contaminants after short-term use of the device, but should not be considered reliable for sterilizing devices after prolonged intraoral use.
